The Press Club, Warangal was established in 1990, it was inaugurated on 01st August 1990 by then District Collector Shri B.P. Acharya, it was a kind enough to allot a Room in Town Hall at Public Garden by then Municipal Chairman Shri S Prasad Raju, and started functioning when Senior Journalist Dasari Krishna Reddy was the Founder & Convenor of the Press Club Warangal. It was aimed at giving a platform to the voiceless where they had no place to conduct press meetings and bring to light their grievances. Later, the Press Club was shifted to a room at Youth Welfare Office on the premises at office of the Deputy Director of Information and Public Relations, Bus Stand Road, Hanamkonda, Warangal-city. Efforts were made to secure a land of its own, and the land was allotted opposite Fire Station at Balasamudram by the District Collector. And the Foundation-Stone for the Press Club Building was laid by the then chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on May 29th 2001. Subsequently, the land was registered in September 2001.
